Mickey Thompson Tires Honored at SEMA Show
Mickey Thompson Tires was selected as the winner of a SEMA New Product Award in the
Best New Merchandising Display category for its new space-saving mini off-road tire and wheel showroom display. "To win one of these awards among the thousands of entries is quite an honor" remarked Ken Warner, Vp of Sales and Marketing for Mickey Thompson Tires. "This is the second time we have been fortunate enough to receive the award, the previous one was for Best New Performance Product when we first introduced our ET Street Tire which revolutionized DOT bracket racing. We're extremely proud to be considered a product development leader among our peers in the SEMA organization, it is the greatest honor we could receive."
Along with the New Product Award, Mickey Thompson Tires was presented with a Product Excellence Award from the Ford Motor Company in recognition of product advancement and new product performance in building their 2006 Ford sponsored project vehicle. After a comprehensive review by members of Ford's Product Development Community, the honor was presented determined by new product development, vehicle appearance, marketability/fit with the brand, use of aftermarket components, and display.
*Note:
The federal government imposes an excise tax with a graduated tax rate structure on heavy tires. The early history of this tax shows that it mirrored war periods and was used both to conserve rubber supplies and as a funding source. Today, tire taxes are part of the monies used to fund the Highway Trust Fund. We have already included this tax into ALL of our tire prices, what you see is what you pay. We NEVER have hidden charges
