| The Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company is the third largest tire company in the world. It was founded by Frank Seiberling in 1898. Goodyear manufactures tires for ATV, automobiles, commercial trucks, light trucks, SUVs, race cars, airplanes, and heavy earth-mover machinery. Goodyear was named in honor of Charles Goodyear. They invented vulcanized rubber in 1839 and the first Goodyear Tires became popular because they were easily detachable and low maintenance. |

Goodyear Rawhide
Goodyear is the world leader in radial truck tire design that applies its incredible expertise to the design of an ATV tire. Goodyear's Rawhide ATV tire has become the replacement tire of choice for drivers seeking the ultimate in performance and riding comfort.
Goodyear's radial tire experience is vast. And Goodyear's engineers knew that a radial design would allow them to fine-tune the handling and ride quality of the Rawhide without sacrificing straight line stability, wet and dry trac-tion-including mud-and cornering capability. The Rawhide utilizes two carcass plies and two tread belts; all four are nylon. In keeping with true radial design, the orientation of the two carcass plies, which extend to the beads, are laid at 90 degrees to the centerline of the tread. The two nylon tread belts stabilize the circumference of the tire. This construction results in greater carcass stability and uniformity while minimizing tire growth and distortion through the contact patch. In addition, the combination of plies and belts produces an extremely durable, puncture resistant carcass that carries a six-ply rated casing.
